Stoughton Public Schools CLOSED on TUESDAY, January 27, 2026
As we continue to dig out from this significant snowstorm, the Stoughton Public Schools will be CLOSED on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. All schools and the district office will be CLOSED and all after school activities on Tuesday are cancelled. Many sidewalks and bus stop areas need to still be cleared and closing on Tuesday gives crews the opportunity to do this. Please be safe and exercise caution if you need to drive.

As we prepare the district calendar for next school year (2026-2027), we are considering two different options and would like your feedback in helping to select the final version. SPS Families: Please complete this survey by Thursday, January 29 (SPS staff members were emailed a separate survey to complete.)
The link to the survey includes both calendar options for you to review. Please note that these are draft calendars and that the School Committee will vote to approve a final version.
We appreciate you taking the time to provide your input.

October is National Principals Month, so as this month gets underway, we want to take this time to recognize our eight amazing building principals. We are so fortunate at SPS to have such a dedicated and caring group of principals! Leaders of their respective school communities, principals provide guidance and support for faculty and staff, encourage students, and engage with families. Thank you to all of our principals for the work they do in making our schools a better place each and every day!

The O'Donnell Middle School participated in "Start With Hello Week" from September 15-19. Start with Hello Week is part of the Sandy Hook Promise and focuses on teaching students empathy and empowering them to end social isolation by making new social connections and creating a sense of belonging. Over the course of the week, students took part in many activities and theme days such as filling out a "hello-gram" to send to a classmate, discussing social isolation, and wearing green on Wednesday (green is the official color of Start With Hello/the Sandy Hook Promise, as well as mental health awareness). OMS students wearing green and students holding hello-grams are pictured here.
