Thanksgiving Schedule
Here is a reminder of our Thanksgiving break schedule:
Wednesday, November 27, 2024 - EARLY DISMISSAL
School hours for Stoughton High & the O’Donnell Middle School will be 7:35am-11:32am on Wednesday. Elementary schools will be 8:30am-12:20pm. Preschool will be 8:30am-11am and there will be no afternoon preschool sessions. Lunch will be served in our schools on Wednesday.
Thursday, November 28, 2024 - THANKSGIVING DAY; NO SCHOOL
This year's Thanksgiving Day football game between Stoughton and Canton is being played at Canton High School starting at 10am. Scroll below for more details.
Friday, November 29, 2024 - NO SCHOOL
All schools and the district office reopen on Monday, December 2, 2024

Stoughton High Powderpuff Football Game on Wednesday
One of the Thanksgiving traditions we look forward to each year is the powderpuff football game between Stoughton High and Canton High, played the day before the Thanksgiving Day football game. This year's powderpuff game is being played at Stoughton High (Veterans Memorial Stadium) on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 1:30pm. Tickets are cash only. $5 for students with their school ID. $10 for adults (and students without a school ID).
Stoughton High Thanksgiving Football Game
The 98th Thanksgiving Day football game between Stoughton High and Canton High takes place Thursday, November 28, 2024. This year's game is being played at Canton High School's WWII Veterans' Memorial Field. Kickoff is at 10am.
Please note that tickets for this game are digital only. There is not a cash option. Tickets purchased through November 27th are $10 for adults and $6.50 for students and seniors. Kids under 8 are free. Tickets purchased after November 27 or at the gate are $13.
There will likely be a long line at the gate, so you are encouraged to buy your tickets prior to November 28. Here is the link to purchase tickets.
Winter Sports Registration
Winter sports registration is open for both Stoughton High and the O'Donnell Middle School. There is no cost to participate in sports at SHS or OMS.
The following winter sports are offered at the high school level: boys/girls basketball, boys/girls hockey, boys/girls swim, boys/girls indoor track and field, cheerleading, and wrestling. We are also offering Unified Bocce at the high school this winter!
The following winter sports are offered at the middle school level: boys/girls basketball and wrestling. There is also a winter OMS dance team.

Parent Workshops
The Stoughton OASIS Coalition is offering a series of parent workshops:
PRESCHOOL - There is a workshop about healthy bedtime routines for parents of students at the Jones Early Childhood Center on Tuesday, December 10 at the Jones (137 Walnut St.) from 5-7:30pm. ELEMENTARY - The next positive parenting workshop for families of elementary school students is Tuesday, December 3 from 5-7pm at the Gibbons Elementary School (235 Morton St.). The topic for this workshop is healthy bedtime routines. Families from all of our elementary schools are welcome to attend, but please note that registration is required (click here to register). MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL - The next workshop for parents of teens/tweens is Wednesday, December 11 from 5-7pm at the O'Donnell Middle School Learning Commons (211 Cushing St.). The topic for this workshop is getting teens to cooperate. Please note that registration is required (click here to register). Light refreshments will be provided. Holiday Shopping Opportunities
POPS Stoughton is holding an indoor yard sale on Sunday, December 1 from 1-5pm at Trinity Episcopal Church (414 Sumner St.). The yard sale features toys and books in great condition. Click here for more information.
The O’Donnell Middle School PTSO’s annual Craft & Vendor Fair is on Saturday, December 7 from 10am-2pm at the OMS (211 Cushing St.). There will be more than 70 vendors and crafters, as well as a book fair. Click here for more information.
